Llers

Modellers is a Catalan municipality in the province of Girona, northeastern Spain. It is located about 6 kilometers north- west of Figueres, the capital of the comarca of Alt Empordà.

Despite the just over one thousand residents, the area around Modellers in the Middle Ages one of the wealthiest in Catalonia with only eleven castles on an area of ​​around 30 hectares. Today Modellers is no more than a bedroom community for Figueres.
