Lösnich

Loesnich is a municipality in the district of Bernkastel -Wittlich, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Bernkastel -Kues and is strongly influenced by viticulture and tourism. Loesnich is a nationally recognized tourist.

History

Loesnich was first documented in 1066. Since 1946 it has been part of Rhineland- Palatinate.

Parish council

The local council in Loesnich consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman. The eight seats on the council are divided into two groups of voters.

Culture and sights

In addition to many old half-timbered houses, the kesselstattsche office building, the late-Gothic and neo-Gothic parish church cemetery chapel of 1869 are worth seeing.

Economy and infrastructure

Loesnich is characterized by winegrowing and tourism for centuries. Immediately upon Loesnich the construction of a high- Moselle crossing the main road 50 is planned.
