Autópálya M70 (Hungarian for, highway M70 ') is a partially four-lane highway, connecting the existing Hungarian M7 motorway that leads from Budapest to Lake Balaton to Nagykanizsa and on to Zagreb, with Slovenia.

In Letenye in Nagykanizsa the M70 sets the course of the European Route 71 to the northwest to the Slovenian motorway A5 fort, which continues through the northeastern Slovenian Prekmurje region to Maribor.

From there, there is a link to the Slovenian motorway A1 to the southwest in the direction of Ljubljana (and further to Rijeka ( Croatia), Trieste (Italy ) and Venice ( Italy) ) and to the north in the direction of Graz ( Austria ).
