Malhostovice

Malhostovice ( German Malostowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers east of Tišnov and belongs to Okres Brno- venkov.

Geography

Malhostovice located in the Bosko brázda. The village is situated on the left bank of the river Lubě at the mouth of the creek Pachla. To the north of Horky rises (340 m ) in the north- east, the Paní hora (395 m ) south of the Zlobice ( 394 m), in the southwest of the Čebínka ( 433 m ) west of the Straz and the northwest of the Vinohrad (372 m).

Neighboring towns are Všechovice and Skalička in the north, Nuzířov in the northeast, Lipůvka in the east, in the southeast Kuřim, Moravské Knínice in the south, Čebín the southwest, Drásov in the west and Železné and Stanovisko in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village dates from the year 1320. Owners were Pernštejnové, later the Lords of Kunštát. 1353 overwrote Hroch of Kunštát his wife Margarethe von Sternberg, interest received on Malhostovice and Horni Loučky as jointure. Since the end of the 14th century Malhostovice was a vicarage. The last time a pastor in Malhostovice was mentioned in 1532, in 1591 was the parish as having lapsed. Between 1658 and 1702 the village was gepfarrt after Lomnice. After the establishment of Lokalkaplanats Drásov Malhostovice was in the 1780s associated with this.

After the abolition of patrimonial Malostovice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Brno and judicial district Tischnowitz. 1857 burned down the church tower and the bell fell down. Since 1896, Malostovice belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. Since 1923, the municipality bears the name Malhostovice. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov the community came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Brno- venkov, at the same time Nuzířov was incorporated.

The municipality consists of the villages Malhostovice Malhostovice ( Malostowitz ) and Nuzířov ( Noscherau ).

Attractions

  • Branch Church of Sts. Lawrence; the originally Gothic building was probably built in the 13th century, the lords of Pernštejna. The first written record of the church dates back to February 20, 1407. In 1763 the tower was built. The old church was canceled in 1834 due to disrepair, only the tower remained. The consecration of the new building was erected for 1285 guilders in 1835. Guilders in 1095 with Wilhelm Graf Mitrovský bore most of the construction costs.
