Marc M. Mouton

Marc M. Mouton († August 1, 1944 ) was an American politician. Between 1940 and 1944 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Louisiana.

Career

Neither the birth nor the birthplace of Marc Mouton have survived. He graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans medicine. Whether he actually practiced as a doctor, is not known, nor a possible relationship with the influential in Louisiana Mouton family. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party.

1940 Mouton was elected to the side of Sam H. Jones for Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana. This post he held between 1940 and 1944. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. He died in the year of his retirement from that office on August 1, 1944.
