Marcin Żewłakow (2011)

Marcin Żewłakow ( born April 22, 1976 in Warsaw, Poland ) is a former Polish football player. He played primarily as a center forward.

Career

Association

Żewłakow played in his youth for unterklassige clubs in Warsaw, before he moved to the youth of the first division club Polonia Warsaw. He also managed the leap into the first team. After five years he joined in the summer of 1998, according to KSK Beveren Belgium and played for a change in 1999 for six years Excelsior Mouscron. In 2005 he moved to FC Metz, but returned in early 2006 on loan again to Excelsior Mouscron back. After half a year he moved to KAA Gent, where he was again awarded but after half a year to FCV Dender EH. In the summer of 2008 Żewłakow moved to Cyprus to APOEL Nicosia, where he celebrated his greatest successes (championship, Super Cup) and in the season 2009/10 took part in the UEFA Champions League. There he came in the group stage to three inserts and scored on matchday six in the away game against Chelsea FC (2-2 ) a goal. APOEL different still from the Table. In summer 2010, he moved to GKS Belchatow in the Ekstraklasa. For GKS he played a total of 51 games in the Ekstraklasa and scored 12 goals. In early June 2012, wrote Marcin Żewłakow one-year contract with the Polish first division club Korona Kielce. After only 13 cores, and goals scored, he broke his contract end in February 2013, however, early on. After the 2012/13 season, he ended his football career.

National

Between 2000 and 2004, he completed a total of 25 games for Poland, scoring 5 goals in this. Marcin Żewłakow was also in the World Cup squad in Poland (3 games / 1 goal) for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.

His twin brother Michał was also a professional football player and is equipped with 102 international matches of Polish most-capped player.
