Márcio Araújo

Márcio Henrique Barroso Araújo ( born October 12, 1973 in Fortaleza, Brazil) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player, world champion and silver medalist at the Olympic Games.

Career

In 1996, Márcio Araújo his beach volleyball career. Until 1998, he formed a team with rice Castro, the two reached a best finish a 17th place. Things went better in 1999 with the new partner Benjamin, the two won their first FIVB equal to C & S tournament in Cagliari. This title was followed up in 2004 with seven hits World Tour tournaments and winning the bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships in their home country in Rio de Janeiro.
