Marek Marian Piątek C.Ss.R. ( born October 10, 1954 in Tuchów ) is Bishop of Coari.

Life

Marek Marian Piątek joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists and lay on August 15, 1974, the profession on. The Bishop of Tarnów, Jerzy Karol Ablewicz, ordained him a priest on June 5, 1980.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 15 June 2011 as the prelates of the Territorialprälatur Coari. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia, Murilo Sebastião Ramos Krieger SCI, donated to him on 12 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Czeslaw Stanula C.Ss.R., Bishop of Itabuna, and Gutemberg Freire Régis CSsR, emeritus prelate of Coari.

With the elevation of the bishopric Territorialprälatur Coari on October 9, 2013 by Pope Francis Piątek was its first diocesan bishop.
