Martin C. Wittig

Martin C. Wittig ( born January 20, 1964) was until May 2013 CEO of the company and strategy consulting firm Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Life

Martin C. Wittig studied mining engineering science and business administration at the RWTH Aachen. In mining, he earned a degree. Already during his studies he worked as a miner. In 1995 he received his doctorate with a thesis on planning alternatives in mining engineering at the Technical University of Berlin.

In 1995 he joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, as he sat by chance on a flight next to Roland Berger. In 1999 he was elected as a partner. Since January 2001, he served as Managing Partner and Director of the subsidiary in Zurich. During his tenure as director, he built the then small Zurich office to number three in the market. In July 2003, Wittig was in the Corporate Senior Vice President ( Global Executive Committee, EC ) elected by Roland Berger and 2004, Chief Financial Officer ( CFO). 2006 confirmed him the perfect partner for a second term. Wittig was elected in July 2010 unanimously by 180 Partners as its new chairman.
