Roland Berger

Roland Berger ( born November 22, 1937 in Berlin ) is a German entrepreneur and business and policy advisors. Berger is the founder and honorary chairman of the board of management consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Life

Roland Berger was born the son of Bavarian parents in Berlin in 1937. His father George L. Berger was general manager of a food company and until 1938 temporarily Ministerial Counsellor in the Ministry of Economics. After Kristallnacht, the father of the Nazi Party came out, later he was 1944/45, briefly detained in Dachau concentration camp. His mother worked as a managing director at the general store his grandparents, and later in a furniture company.

After primary school in Vienna and Egglkofen the school visit was followed in Landshut, Munich and Nuremberg, where he finished 1956, the new high school diploma at the grammar Nuremberg. He studied in Hamburg and Munich Business Administration, in addition to studying, he ran a laundry service with 15 employees last.
