Matic Kralj

Matic Kralj ( born January 15, 1983 in Ljubljana, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player standing since 2011 when Coventry Blaze in the British Elite Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Matic Kralj began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, where he was active until 2002. For the 2002/03 season the winger moved to the Lubbock Cotton Kings of the Central Hockey League, it finished but at Olimpija Ljubljana in the Slovenian Hockey League. From 2003 to 2006 he ran for the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on in the CHL, where he was once again in 2005 at the end of the season for Olimpija Ljubljana in the Slovenian Hockey League on the ice. In the season 2006/ 07 he went to the CHL participants Rocky Mountain Rage. The 2007/08 season he started at HK Slavija Ljubljana in Slovenia and finished it at Alba Volán Székesfehérvár. For the latter, he took up both in the Hungarian Hockey League as well as in the Austrian Hockey League. In the 2008 /09 season he played in Slovenia again, this time for the HDK Maribor Stavbar.

The 2009/10 season spent Kralj at the Newcastle Vipers of the British Elite Ice Hockey League. There he could just convince as in the following season when HC Morzine -Avoriaz in the French Ligue Magnus. For the 2011/12 season the former youth international returned to the EIHL and joined Coventry Blaze at, for which he has performed since then.

Internationally

For Slovenia Kralj took part in the U18 World Youth Championship Division II in 2001 and the U20 Junior World Championship Division I in 2002.
