Matt Martin (ice hockey, born 1989)

Matthew " Matt" Martin ( born May 8, 1989 in Windsor, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2009 with the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Matt Martin began his career as a hockey player with the Sarnia Sting, for which he was active from 2006 to 2009 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the fifth round as the 148th overall player of the New York Islanders for which were the winger in the 2009/10 season his debut in the National Hockey League.
