Matt Noveskey

Matthew " Matt" Noveskey ( born June 16, 1976 in Adrian / Michigan) is an American musician, singer, record producer, guitarist, songwriter and bassist, who is best known for his work with Blue October. He is an integral part of the band since 1999. He also plays Plus Machines at the American alternative rock supergroup At.

Life

Noveskey grew up in northern Michigan in a musical family. His uncle was the bass guitarist in a rock band. His brother plays drums and his grandfather played guitar, piano and accordion. Inspired by his uncle began Noveskey with 5 years to play bass. His bass playing was influenced by the bassist James Jamerson and Larry Graham.

Noveskey graduated from the Sain Francis High School in Traverse City in 1994. Later he was at several colleges in Michigan. At this time, took a job as a waiter Noveskey and played in several cafes with locally well-known groups such as the band switch from Michigan. 1998 moved Noveskey on the advice of an agent to Houston, where he played with Blue October. 1999 Noveskey was recorded in the band.

Career

Blue October (1999 - present)

In 1999, the band at Noveskey, after they all. Bassist Liz Mullally from their previous 2000 Noveskey played guitar, bass and backing vocals was released on the 2000 album Consent to Treatment. He also created the artwork for this album, together with singer Justin Furstenfeld. 2002 Noveskey left for health reasons, the band entered this in a year later. In 2005 he was again a permanent member of the group. During the absence Noveskeys the band played the song You Make Me Smile on any concert. You Make Me Smile is the opening track to the album Foiled, which was released in 2006.

(a ) machines (2002 - present)

During his absence from Blue October Noveskey founded the supergroup At Plus Machines (in short: (a machines ) ). She has released a 5 - track demo and a live CD. The band was to promote 2006 Blue October on tour around their new album Foiled.

Other projects

Noveskey works when he is not with his bands on tour or produced an album, as a producer for other bands. In 2008 he founded the recording studio with Chuck Alkazian that he called 116. This studio has now a range of up to Austin to Detroit. He is also active as a solo musician. He was already a well-known musicians on the stage, as Casey McPherson, Johnny Goudie and even with Justin Furstenfeld. In 2007, Noveskey known along with songwriter Ryan Holley to form a new band that produces music for soundtracks.
