Mazda BT-50

The Mazda BT -50 is a pickup from the Japanese manufacturer Mazda. The vehicle replaced since 2006, the Mazda B- series. The car shares the technical basis with the international version of the Ford Ranger. The car in Thailand is being built for the local and European market as well as in Colombia for the South American market.

First generation (2006-2012)

Mazda BT-50 as a long cabin

The first Mazda BT-50 was introduced on 22 March 2006 at the Bangkok International Motor Show for the first time to the public. Striking against the B- series is especially the more modern style. The BT -50 weighs about two tons and is powered by a 2.5 liter MZR - CD common-rail diesel engine. Like the predecessor, the BT-50 in three body versions:

  • Single cabin with 2 seats (not available with all-wheel drive and not for Germany)
  • Long cab with four doors ( rear doors open in opposite directions, two rear jump seats )
  • Double cab with four doors (long distance driving back seat )

Facelift

In the fall of 2008, the BT-50 a revised model was subjected to, among other things, identified by a redesigned grille. It remained at the previous body and equipment variants and the 2.5 -liter diesel engine used.

Second generation ( since 2011 )

Mazda BT-50 Double Cab ( since 2011 )
