Mehdi Ben Slimane

Mehdi Ben Slimane ( born January 1, 1974 in Le Kram, Tunis ) is a former Tunisian football player.

Career

Ben Slimane, which was mostly used as a striker but also as a Attacking Allrounder, his career began in Tunisia, where he played from 1994 to 1996 at the present second division club AS Marsa. About Olympique Marseille in 1997 he came to the then second division side SC Freiburg. Under coach Volker Finke with the team for the season 1998/99 he managed to climb to the 1st Bundesliga. In 2000 he signed with Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he was but used only five times.

Therefore, he spent a season at Al -Nasr in Saudi Arabia. After eight years, he returned again in 2002 to Tunisia back and played the final year of his career with the Tunisian flagship club Club Africain.

1998 played in the Tunisian national football team, and took for Tunisia at the Football World Cup 1998 in part in France.
