Memento Mori (Band)

Memento Mori (Latin Remember to die ', see memento mori ) was a Swedish supergroup to the King-Diamond/Mercyful-Fate-Gitarristen Mike Wead. The band played a mixture of known as Epic Doom Doom Metal and Power Metal.

Band History

Memento Mori began in late 1992 as a project of guitarist Mike Wead, who had previously played with Candlemass, King Diamond and witch house. For the song he could win Messiah Marcolin (ex - Candlemass ). For the first line-up included drummer Snowy Shaw continues (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate ), bassist Marty Marteen (ex witch's house ) and the hitherto unknown guitarist Nikkey Argento. The band signed a recording contract with Black Mark Production and published in 1993 her debut album Rhymes of Lunacy.

For the following tour was engaged as a singer and keyboardist due to other commitments by Marcolin Thomas Lyon (ex - witches house). In summer 1994, the second studio album Life, Death and Other Morbid Tales, at the Miguel Robaina was involved as a keyboard player appeared. After release of the album Marcolin and Shaw left the band for the 1995 tour opening for Morgana Lefay as a session musician Stefan Carlsson (vocals) and Billy were St. John ( Johan Billerhag, drums, ex - witch house ) involved. On the third album La Danse Macabre is a singer Kristian Andren (ex - Tad Morose ) to hear the drums had Tom Björn (ex witch's house, later Nightingale ) taken. 1997 returns Messiah Marcolin back to band their fourth and final album Songs for the Apocalypse vol IV took up with him and broke up soon after.
