Tad Morose

Tad Morose is a Swedish power metal band. They are next to Morgana Lefay the most influential representatives of the Scandinavian power metal scene. The band's name is derived from the American slang and should ' mean street kid.

Band History

The band was founded in Bollnäs 1991. In early 1992 came singer Anders Westlund to fill, but Tad Morose left in late 1992 after some live performances again. During the first demo recordings of contact with the friend of drummer Dan -Erik Eriksson, Kristian Andrén came about. After a few jam sessions, he was hired as the new singer. Also, the band now also included keyboardist Fredrik Eriksson, and recorded in this line demo led to a recording contract with Black Mark Production. The debut album Leaving the Past Behind was released in 1993 in Europe and attracted national attention. Despite excellent reviews in the U.S., including in the magazine Metal Maniacs, no distributor could be found for the local market. However, the album was released in Australia and Japan and sold there alone over 3,000 times.

Planned for early 1994 recording their second studio album transmitter of Thoughts were delayed because of the departure of drummer Dan -Erik Eriksson. He was replaced by Peter Morén, so the album could be released in February 1995. Shortly after the publication bassist Per- Ola Olsson left the band on the subsequent tour of Germany with Crematory, Morgana Lefay and Memento Mori, he was replaced by Anders Modd. In 1996, the split EP paradigm appeared with Memento Mori, which singer Kristian Andrén joined shortly thereafter. Replacement, the band found in Urban Breed, in this cast the third album A Mended Rhyme was recorded and released in 1997.

In 1998, when keyboardist Fredrik Eriksson Tad Morose left, the band decided to take a keyboardist with Daniel Olsson to undertake a second guitarist. A little later, Tad Morose separated from their label Black Mark Production and were taken in 2000 by Century Media under contract. In the same year appeared Undead and 2002 Matters of the Dark. After a European tour and appearances at Sweden Rock and Wacken Open Air was released in 2003, the seventh studio album Modus Vivendi. Slated for late 2006 Studio dates could not be perceived because singer Urban Breed left the band in late 2005. Tad Morose addition, confirmed that work on the announced since 2009 studio album were almost complete and that it will carry the title Revenant. The album was released on November 22, 2013 at the Swedish independent label Despotz Records under distribution by Cargo Records.
