Michael T. Weiss

His father was a senior executive in the steel industry, his mother was a housewife. His acting career began in childhood when he shot commercials for local television.

He attended Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois. In high school he was a member of the swim team and played basketball. He was also an active member of the student council. During his time in high school he met actors in the drama seminar the Second City. In 1980 he played at the age of 18 years, his first film role as an extra in the film Ordinary People.

He attended the University of Southern California. Shortly after his Bachelor of Fine Arts, in 1984, he got his first real role as Dr. Mike Horton in Days of Our Lives. He also acted for a while as a personal fitness trainer; many of his customers were castmates, including but not Pierce Brosnan and James Brolin.

He was known for his role in The Pretender. He also played in Jeffrey, the animated series Tarzan, the soap opera in 2000 Malibu Road as a recurring guest in Crossing Jordan and profiler. He also lent his voice The Nameless One, the hero of the computer game Planescape: Torment.

In recent years he played increasingly Theatre, in Boston, Los Angeles and New York - most recently on Broadway in the world premiere of Impressionism starring Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen.

In 2011 he took over in the first season of the series " Blue Bloods " in at least four episodes of the role of Detective Sonny Malevsky:
