Miroslav Menc

Miroslav Menc ( born March 16, 1971 in Rumburk ) is a former Czech shot putter.

Six times he was outdoors (1993-1997, 2000) and three times in the Hall (1997, 1998, 2001 ) national champion.

At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995, he retired as of the qualification as at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 1997 World Championships in Athens. In 1998, he came at the Athletics European Indoor Championships in Valencia he came to sixth place, but was later disqualified because he tested positive for stanozolol in a recent carried out doping control and disabled because of this breach of the doping regulations for two years.

In 2000 he won the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships in Ghent and finished tenth in the Olympic Games in Sydney, and he was sixth at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Lisbon in 2001.

On 26 April 2001, he was at a training control positively to Norandrosterone, a metabolite of nandrolone, tested and locked as a repeat offender for life.
