Standing Committees

There are annually recurring committees that hold hearings and legislation are archived by the deputies. Once recorded, then the legislation by the Missouri Speaker of the House will be transmitted to the Following Committees. This is usually assigned to the committee, whose main goal then is the setting up of the law content. However, there is often more appropriate committees to which the bill could be transferred and it is ultimately the decision of the speaker, select one of this. Public policies can also play a role, as the Speaker, he or she shall refrain simply can assign a bill to a committee with an unfriendly chairman or deputy. Furthermore, however, may also prefer a sympathetic committee if he or she wishes to be adopt the draft law.

Due to the current party structure of each committee is intended to reflect as accurately as possible the current party structure of the whole chamber. Each party shall elect from among its members from those who are supposed to be active in the Standing Committee, the Chairman of each committee is selected by the Speaker of the House.

This Ausschüsses are more specialized in certain topics. So most of these committees adopt on average less bills than the Standing Committees.

Another difference between the Special and Standing Committees is that the minority party (minority party ) selects which MPs are sitting by her election committee in the Standing Committee. The members of the Special Committee are, however, exclusively selected by the Speaker of the House. The party continuous splitting of the Standing Committees and Special is provided due to the existing chamber statutes, which should reflect an accurate party common splitting of the whole House of Representatives from Missouri.
