Mitja Å ivic

Mitja Šivic ( born October 1, 1979 in Brezje, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who is since 2012 in the Diables Rouges de Briançon in the French Ligue Magnus under contract.

Career

Mitja Šivic began his career as a hockey player with HDD Olimpija Ljubljana, for which he made ​​his debut in the Slovenian Hockey League announced in the 1997/98 season and with whom he was in his first season in professional hockey right away Slovenian champion. After a year at HK Sportina Bled from the Alpine League of attackers returned to Olimpija Ljubljana, with whom he won again each time the Slovenian league title in three years. In the season 2002/ 03 was initially for THK Tver Šivic from the second Russian league, the Wysschaja league on the ice, before he returned for the playoffs to Ljubljana, with whom he won the league title in a row for the fourth time.

After another championship Šivic played in the 2004/05 season again in the Wysschaja league in which he was active for Crystal Saratov. In the summer of 2008, longstanding Slovenian national team was finally obliged by the Brûleurs de Loups de Grenoble, with whom he won the Trophée des Champions in 2009 and 2011 as well as the Coupe de la Ligue in 2008 and 2009. In addition, he was with Grenoble in the 2008 /09 season French champion and won this season with his team to the national cup competition, the Coupe de France. After four years in Grenoble, he returned in the summer of 2012 on the Diables Rouges de Briançon back.

Internationally

For Slovenia Šivic took at junior level at the U18 Junior C Championship in 1996, the U18 Junior B Championship in 1997 and the U20 Junior World Championship 1999 - C part. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2000, 2009 and 2010 and at the A World Championships in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2011.
