Moraxella

Moraxella is a genus of aerobic gram- negative bacteria.

The genus Moraxella today define the Moraxellaceae family ( order Pseudomonadales ) after they had been assigned previously to the Neisseriaceae family. These are cocci, diplococci or short rods that form small colonies on blood agar, are immobile and oxidase -positive.
