Moths is a municipality and nationally recognized resort in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen in the northwest of Bavaria ( Germany ).

Geography

Geographical location

Moths in the region Main- Rhön on the southwestern edge of the low mountain Rhön. History

Generally

Moth was first mentioned in the year 837, the district Speicherz in the year 1330. Kothen The district goes back to a monk named Kotho, who settled there in the 8th century. Moths is a brewery since the early 16th century location. The fürstbischöflich - fuldische Office brewery was sold on 12 December 1791, the farmer Johann Georg Will.
