Mueang Sakon Nakhon District
Sakon Nakhon ( Thai: อำเภอ เมือง สกลนคร ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan. The capital of the province of Sakon Nakhon Sakon Nakhon is also called.
Geography
The district Mueang Sakon Nakhon is located in the extreme north- east of Thailand, covers an area of 9605 km ² and is about 650 kilometers from the capital Bangkok. It is located on a deep level of the Mekong River and is bordered to the south on a forested mountain landscape. In the northeast of the district of Nong Han Lake, the largest natural lake in Northeast Thailand is.
Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Kusuman, Phon Na Kaeo, Khok Si Suphan, Tao Ngoi, Phu Phan, Bak Kut and Phanna Nikhom the province of Sakon Nakhon.
Education
In Amphoe Mueang Sakon Nakhon is a side campus of Kasetsart University and Rajabhat University, Sakon Nakhon.
Management
The district Mueang Sakon Nakhon is divided into 16 communes ( tambon), which continues in 169 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
The city of Sakon Nakhon ( thesaban Mueang ) consists of the whole tambon Choeng Chum fact.
There are also two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Dong Mafai covers parts of tambon Khamin,
- Tha Rae consists of parts of the tambon Tha Rae.
There are also 15 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" ( TAO - administrative units ).
