Nikhom Nam Un District
Amphoe Nikhom Nam Un ( Thai อำเภอ นิคมน้ำอูน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southwestern province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
The Amphoe Nikhom Nam Un borders from north clockwise seen at the Amphoe Waritchaphum, Phanna Nikhom and Bak Kut in the province of Sakon Nakhon, as well as Amphoe Wang Sam Mo in the province of Udon Thani
The main source of water is the Amphoe Nam Un Dam.
History
Nikhom Nam Un was ( King Amphoe ) was formed on June 16, 1975 initially as a small district by the cleavage of the Tambon Nong Pling Nikhom Nam Un and from Amphoe Waritchaphum. On 4 July 1994 finally took place this advancement to a full Amphoe.
1969 of today's Nikhom Nam Un Amphoe Phang Khon in the Nam Un Dam was built north. The people whose land had been flooded at that time, settled in Nikhom Nam Un.
Management
Amphoe Nikhom Nam Un consists of four sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 32 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
