Mukhu Aliyev

Muchu Gimbatowitsch Aliyev ( Avar МухӀу ГӀалиев; born August 6, 1940 in Tanussi, Dagestan ASSR, Soviet Union ) is a Russian politician and former president of the Russian republic of Dagestan.

The Aware Muchu Aliyev studied until 1962 at the Department of Dagestan Philology Faculty of Philology of the Dagestani State University ( DGU) in Makhachkala and then worked as a teacher and school principal. From 1964 to 1966 he worked at the DGU in organs of the Communist Youth League Komsomol. After that, he was the aspirant to the Faculty of Arts and doctorate. 1969 Aliyev was first secretary of the Komsomol of the city Makhachkala, 1972 First secretary of the local organization of the CPSU in the district Sovetsky of Makhachkala. In 1985, Aliyev Head of organization and personnel management 1990 and party leader of the Dagestani branch of the CPSU. After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the dissolution of the Communist Party Aliyev was first deputy chairman and then chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Dagestan and from 1995, the Dagestani People's Assembly. He remained in this office until 2006. In that year he was elected to succeed Magomedali Magomedows President of the Republic of Dagestan. 2010 Aliyev was replaced by Magomedows son Magomedsalam Magomedov.
