Načeradec

Načeradec ( German Natscheradetz, older even Nitscheratz ) is a municipality in Okres Benešov in the Czech Republic. It belongs to the region Středočeský Region and lies 13 kilometers south of Vlašim and 26 kilometers southeast of Benešov.

Geography

Načeradec is the Vlašimská pahorkatina ( Wlaschimer hill country). Neighboring towns are Vrcovice in the north, Pravoním, Dobřikovice and Buková in the northeast, Jelenov and Stare Práchňany in the east, Horni Lhota and Slavětín the southeast, Daměnice in the south, Hrnčíře and Zlaté Hory in the southwest, Hrajovice and Býkovice in the west and Lesáky and Křížov in the northwest. There is also the legendary pilgrimage mountain Blanik.

History

Načeradec was first mentioned in the Chronicle Gerlach, in which is recorded that on February 19, 1184, transferred the body of Seelauer Abts Gottschalk, who had previously died in Launiowitz in the monastery Seelau and stored overnight in the church of Načeradec was. It can be concluded that the Church of St. Peter and Paul was probably built around 1150. As first lord of the village is for the year 1252 Witiko I. proven to Cesky Krumlov, who used the nickname " of Načeradec " (z Načeradce ). He is busy for the years 1220 to 1277, was married to a Sybila whose name is not known, and came from a family witigonischen branch of the Lords of Krumlov. In the Thirty Years' War 1622-1622 Načeradec was besieged by the imperial army. After the battle of Jankau the city was devastated in 1645 by the Swedes. 1677 Načeradec owned by the lords of Gerard ( Pani z Gerardu ) and arrived in 1726 at the Deym of Střítež ( Deymové ze Stříteže ), of which there Franz Joseph acquired from Starhemberk ( František Josef Starhemberk ). He built in 1734 a Baroque palace in Načeradec. Around this time there was already a town council and a mayor.

After the abolition of patrimonial Načeradec in 1849 an independent municipality in the district Wlaschim, 1868 in the district Beneschau. In 1884, Josef Lerch rule Načeradec. He led the investment of the castle park and 1903 the establishment of a telephone connection. In 1930 Načeradec consisted of 1,191 inhabitants living in 214 houses. Of economic importance were next to agriculture per mill, brickworks and brewery. Already before 1618 there was a Jewish community. For economic reasons, the last Jews left Načeradec in 1919.

After the political changes of 1989 a new school house was built, created a pond and the sports fields extensively renovated. The Stations of the Cross from the 18th century were reconstructed, and 2006 saw the publication of a Buchec about Načeradec

Attractions

  • The Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in 1150 in Romanesque style and 13-14. Century, rebuilt in the Gothic style and expanded. 1734 was a partial Baroque style.
