National Anthem of Russia

The anthem of the Russian Federation (Russian Гимн Российской Федерации / Gimn Rossijskoi Federazii ) is since 30 December 2000, the official national anthem of the Russian Federation. The lyrics of the song was composed by Sergei Mikhalkov. The melody comes from Alexander Alexandrov.

History

The anthem of the Russian Federation is an image of Gimn Sowjetskowo Sojusa, the anthem of the Soviet Union. Only the text of the song was rewritten, from Sergei Mikhalkov, who had already sealed the text of the Soviet anthem.

It was replaced in 2000 by the Russian President Vladimir Putin against the hitherto non-text and therefore not very popular, or perceived to be uninspiring Patriotic song, which was from 1990 to 2000 the national anthem of the Russian Federation.

The first official Schedule of the anthem was the inauguration of President Putin in the Kremlin.
