Neomariania scriptella

Neomariania script ella is a butterfly of the family of Stathmopodidae.

Features

The moths reach a wingspan of about 14 millimeters, the forewing length is specified by seven millimeters. The light gray sensors are less thickened by scales than Neomariania oecophorella rich and a little beyond the tip of the forewing. The labial palps diverge and are bent upwards. The middle segment is black on the outside. The forehead ( frons ) is yellowish, vertex (vertex ) and thorax are light gray. The legs are pale brownish gray and darkened outside. The link ends are lighter. The Hintertibien are hairy brownish yellow. The abdomen is colored light brown. The brownish yellow anal trimmed bush is and extends to beyond the very broad Frans scales of the hind wing. The light gray front wings are stretched and have a sharper tip than Neomariania oecophorella. The wing outer edge is very oblique. A striking black inner edge flaw extends from the wing center to three-quarters of the wing width. In the wing tip there are two oblique black stripes. The fringe scales are light gray. The dusty gray hind wings are very sharp and have very wide light gray Frans shed. The forewing underside is dark gray, the hind wing underside is light gray.

Dissemination

Neomariania oecophorella is widespread in the Azores.
