Nervo (Duo)
The twins Miriam and Olivia Nervo (* 1982 in Ivanhoe, Melbourne) are Australian models, singers, songwriters and DJanes, better known by her stage name Nervo Nervo Twins or The. With their music they represent mainly the genre Dance and Progressive House.
Childhood and youth
Nervo are twins and were in Ivanhoe, a suburb of Melbourne, born, where they grew up as well. They began their careers as models in Australia with the Chadwick Models Agency. They were ambassadors to the L' Oreal Fashion Festival.
Career
At the age of 16 years, the duo had already made a name in the modeling scene, but decided to concentrate more on the music professionally. They were adopted by the Opera Australia academy, but decided for to devote himself to pop music. At age 18, they met in Melbourne a producer who asked her to record some demo songs. She then signed a contract with Sony / ATV Music Publishing and embarked on a songwriting career. Among other things, they wrote numerous songs for artists such as Kesha, Pussycat Dolls, Sophie Ellis -Bextor, Ashley Tisdale and Rachel Stevens. They also co-wrote David Guetta's 2008 song " When Love Takes Over" with Kelly Rowland, which won a Grammy and was able to record numerous chart positions around the world.
In March 2010, Nervo gave a contract known for Virgin Records / EMI Music. A month later they released their club single "This Kind Of Love". Furthermore, they worked on recordings for Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole, Armin van Buuren and again for Kelly Rowland. They also released their single " Irresistible ", which reached the highest ranking in the UK club charts.
In June 2011, the Femme Fatale Tour opened Nervo on Britney Spears. In July they wrote after they had occurred as a DJ at Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium, together with Afrojack track "The Way We See The World", followed by " We're All No One" with Afrojack and Steve Aoki, which again the number 1 in the UK Club Charts meant. In August, she signed with the modeling agency Wilhelmina Models and appeared twice at Pacha Ibiza on. With "The Night Of Your Life " by David Guetta & Jennifer Hudson, "Do not Go Breaking My Heart" by Agnes Carlsson and "Try With Me" by Nicole Scherzinger Nervo reached as songwriters more commercial success.
2012 were the twins on some festivals such as Creamfields in Brazil, Sunset Music Festival in Tampa, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nature One Kastellaun and Spring Awakening Music Festival in Chicago. They also released their new single " You're Gonna Love Again ". They also performed at Tomorrowland 2012, and featured, amongst others, " Like Home ", their new collaboration with Nicky Romero ago. In September, the song appeared in " In My Head " to the Nervo contributed vocals to David Guetta's hit album Nothing but the Beat 2.0.
In the spring of 2013 published Nervo the single " Hold On", which gave them the first time in her career # 1 in the U.S. Billboard Dance Charts.
In the DJ Mag Top 100 of 2013 Nervo rose from 46th place to 16th place, which they still are by far the highest placed female DJs that ranking.
2013 produced the twins an official remix of the song Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper for the album " She's So Unusual: A 30th Anniversary Celebration (Deluxe Edition) " which will be released on 1 April 2014.
