Geographical Location
Niederlauer is located in the Main- Rhön. Through the municipal area flow Franconian Saale and Lauer, which unite here.
Community structure
Niederlauer divided into four districts:
- Niederlauer
- Oberebersbach
- Under Ebersbach
- Wiesenmuhle
There are the districts Niederlauer, Oberebersbach and sub Ebersbach.
History
The place in the Official Neustadt an der Saale of high Bishopric of Würzburg from 1500 belonged to the Frankish Empire circle. It was ceded to the secularisation of 1803 in Bavaria's favor in 1805, Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and fell with this 1814 final at Bayern. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
On 1 January 1978, the formerly independent communities Oberebersbach and sub Ebersbach were incorporated.

The mayor is Richard Knaier (CDU community).
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 511,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 212,000.
Culture and sights
Niederlauer has a historic center with some listed buildings. Particularly noteworthy is the Catholic Church of St. Catherine. Opposite her is on the road to Oberebersbach the cemetery.
Born and raised in Niederlauer sculptor Jimmy Fell, the community donated three sculptures: the "West Gate " with four original parts of the Berlin Wall, the " shrine " (Madonna with child in blue gate) and the "capture the sun."

Economy, agriculture and forestry
Niederlauer is shaped continues to be agricultural, which is illustrated by 25 -based farms. The industrial area in the east of the district, however, also testifies to the strong growth of the manufacturing sector. The most significant companies here are the companies RST steel construction and Ganshorn Medicine Electronic with over 150 employees.
