History
Sandberg emerged only in 1691 as a clearing by settlers from the overpopulated narrow water. The former Office of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg from 1500 belonged to the Frankish Empire circle. It was, after the secularization of Bavaria in 1803, left in 1805, Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg and fell with this 1814 final at Bayern.
