Norbert Nachtweih

Norbert Nachtweih ( born June 4, 1957 in Sanger Hausen ) is a former German football player and current football coach.

Career as a player

Youth and DDR - Oberliga

Norbert Nachtweih learned at age six playing football with the engine Sangerhausen and went through to the age of 17 clubs tractor Polleben, steel Eisleben and Hallescher FC chemistry. For the latter, he played 1974-1976 35 games in the DDR - Oberliga, scoring two goals.

Bundesliga and abroad

From 1978 to 1982 Nachtweih was active as a midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt. His debut took place on March 4, 1978 ( 28 Matchday) in a 2-0 win at home to VfB Stuttgart, followed by four more games to end the season. The following season he on March 17, 1979 ( 23 Matchday) with the intermediate 2:0 succeeded in a 2-1 victory at home to Werder Bremen also his first goal. From 1982 to 1989 - in the last season as a defensive player - he was at Bayern Munich under the contract.

He then moved to the French first division club AS Cannes, for which he was employed from 1989 to 1991 in 43 league games and scored two goals. For the 1991/92 season he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga back, completed, however, only three league and two UEFA Cup matches and moved in December for the second division club SV Waldhof Mannheim. By the end of his professional career in 1996, he played 127 games for the second division forest Höfer and scored 10 goals.

From 1998 to December 1999 Nachtweih played for FC Sportfreunde Schwalbach in the national league Hesse middle, then he ran intermittently for the 2nd team of the SG Oberliederbach in the county league B Main- Taunus-Kreis on.

National

In the years 1974 and 1975 was Nachtweih member of the East German junior national team for which he played seven matches. Subsequently, it was used until 1976 in four international matches of the U-21 national team. After the preliminary round game at the U -21 Football Championship in 1978 on November 16, 1976 against Turkey he fled together with Jürgen Pahl in the Federal Republic; then it was occupied by FIFA with the obligatory one year ending match suspension. Although Nachtweih was one of the best German footballers of the 1980s, remained for him a career in the senior team failed because he had already completed tryouts for the GDR.

Career as a coach

After his playing career, he worked among other things as a coach for the SV Bernbach and the FK Pirmasens ( First A- youth, then premier league team). He is currently the coach of the JFC Frankfurt and also for the football school of Eintracht Frankfurt. He also plays regularly for the traditional team of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Nachtweih was, like some other of his teammates in Frankfurt, the victim of an alleged tax -saving Bauherrenmodell. He himself was thus in debt.
