Nová Ves (Sokolov District)

Nová Ves ( German Neudorf b. Tepl, 1938-1945 Neudorf I) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers southeast of Sokolov and belongs to Okres Sokolov.

Geography

Nová Ves is located in the Imperial forest at the western foot of the mountain Sirak ( Montleshöhe, 760 m) in the source basin of the creek Novoveský creek. In Nová Ves four larger ponds, the Za hospodou lie to the west of the village of Velky and Maly Novoveský rybnik south out of town.

Neighboring towns are Krasno in the north, Haje, Milešov and Dolni Hluboká in the northeast, Stary Dvůr and Bečov in the east, Louka in the southeast, Mnichov in the south, Prameny in the southwest and Rovná and Podstrani in the northwest.

Northwest of Nová Ves were up in the 1950s, the mountain town of Lauterbach ( Čistá ) and their district Ehrlich ( Chalupy ).

History

Neudorf was first mentioned in 1364 as part of the castle rule Petschau documented. Owners were at this time the men of giant castle. With Green in the 14th century gold mining was carried. In the 18th and 19th centuries there were in the mines Michaeli, Sebastian and Callisto little successful mining experiments on silver.

After the abolition of patrimonial Neudorf was formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Karlovy Vary, then in the district Petschau. At the end of the 19th century the church was transferred to the district Tepl. 1930 lived in Neudorf 1028 inhabitants. After the Munich Agreement, the community was incorporated into the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Tepl. To distinguish them from the community Neudorf bei Weseritz, which belonged to the same county, there was a distinction in Neudorf I and II 1939 Neudorf I 848 inhabitants. After the end of World War II, the place came back to Czechoslovakia and began the expulsion of the Germans. In the 1950s, the Entsiedlung of the Imperial Forest and the application of the training area was Prameny. Nova Ves was incorporated at that time and came to Okres Mnichov according to Marianske Lazne. This was dissolved in 1960. Since then Nová Ves belongs to Okres Sokolov. In 1961 the village Nová Ves arose again and Louka was incorporated.

Community structure

The Nová Ves consists of the districts Louka (green) and Nová Ves ( Neudorf ). To Nová Ves also the monolayer Stary Dvůr heard ( Althof ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Louka u Mariánských Lázní and Nová Ves u Sokolova.

Attractions

  • Church of the Holy Trinity, in the village square. Between 1700 and 1707 the Chapel of St. was. Trinity built; the clouds altar and the side altars created Karl Stilp. In the years 1732 to 1732 the chapel was extended to a church. The western tower cultivation took place from 1764 to 1771.
