History

Today's Oberdolling was first documented in 825/27 mentioned as " Tullinga ". Since the beginning of the 12th century a local needle is detectable. Their castle ( called the 17th century " Schlecker stone " ) was on the southwestern edge of the village. 1339 was her owner Ulrich von Mendorf. 1466, the town was divided into upper and Unterdolling. After the destruction by Swedish troops during the Thirty Years' War from a moated castle was rebuilt in 1649 by the Jesuit Ingolstadt; after a second fire in 1931 the castle was rebuilt after historical model. 1693 acquired the Barons of Hegnenberg Gen. Dux Oberdolling and received this henceforth as Bavarian fiefs. In 1904 the city rail link; the former railway line (1972, passenger services were set ) is now used for the Schambach Valley Railway cycle path.

Oberdolling belonged to Rentamt Munich and the court Vohburg of the Electorate of Bavaria. The Barons and later Earls of Hegnenberg - Dux had an open Hofmark here. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria emerged with the community edicts of 1804 and 1818 from the Hofmarken top and Unterdolling (first mentioned in 1466 ) independent communities, the (later County ) belonged to the District Court of Ingolstadt. After the incorporation Unterdollings Oberdolling changed on 1 July 1972 in the enlarged district of Eichstätt.

Structures

The Catholic parish church of St. George is originally an early-Gothic building. 1895/97 a Neo-Romanesque building was pulled under Rev. Andreas Bücherl. In 1963 a renovation. The steeple of 1793 bears a Roman grave stone and a piece of early Gothic stone carving from the 13th century. In the church there are epitaphs in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 738,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 260,000.
