Ochodnica

Ochodnica (Hungarian Ösvényes - to 1907 Ochodnica ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia, with 1947 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011) and is located in Okres Kysucké Nové Mesto, a circle of Žilinský kraj.

Geography

The landscape to the traditional counting Kysuca community lies at the eastern end of the mountain Javorníky the creek Ochodničanka, which flows into the site in the Kysuca as rechtsufriger inflow. Around the village some traditional small settlements (Slovak Kopanice ) are scattered. The N.M. at an altitude of 403 m lying the center is located seven kilometers north of Kysucké Nové Mesto.

History

Ochodnica was established with the neighboring Dunajov in the 16th century after the Wallachian law, in the field of Lieskovec. At the time of establishment in 1596, the town belongs to the estate of Budatín. 1783 are listed 175 houses and 988 inhabitants. The first parish was founded only in 1789
