OpenBGPD

OpenBGPD is a Unix system service that implements the Border Gateway Protocol version 4. This allows network components that are BGP capable of exchanging network routes with each other.

OpenBGPD is being developed as part of the OpenBSD project by Henning Brauer and Claudio Jeker. The design goals provide that it is safe and reliable, and efficient memory usage and small size of the source code. The configuration language should be powerful and easy to use.

OpenOSPFD is another system service on the side of OpenBGPD, it implements the OSPF protocol. OpenBGPD and OpenOSPFD make it possible to use a computer as a network router. Both services are released as free software under the BSD license.
