Pasi Kuivalainen

Pasi Kuivalainen ( born July 15, 1972 in Kuopio ) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who played in his time from 1988 to 2004, among other things KalPa Kuopio in the SM- liiga.

Career

Pasi Kuivalainen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at KalPa Kuopio, for by 1997 he was active from 1988 exclusively in the SM- liiga. Then the goalkeeper stood for two years for their league rivals Ässät Pori between the posts, and in the 1999/2000 season for Ilves Tampere. There was a commitment to the Pelicans Lahti, which he left during the season 2002/ 03, to finish the season at Tappara Tampere, with whom he became the first and only time in his career, Finnish Champion. By the end of the season came Kuivalainen in 18 games of the regular season and two playoff games available for use. After this success, the Finn returned to his former club KalPa Kuopio, who was now relegated to the second class Mestis. With KalPa Kuivalainen was the end of his career once more master of the Mestis.

Internationally

For Finland Kuivalainen took the U20 World Junior Championships in 1991 and 1992 in part. In addition, he was in the squad Finland at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer and the World Cup 1994.
