Peter Ijeh

Peter Ijeh ( born March 28, 1977 in Lagos) is a Nigerian football player. The striker played most of his career in Northern Europe.

Career

Ijeh played until 2001 in his Nigerian homeland, before joining Julius Berger FC to Sweden to Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan. There in 2002 he was top scorer in the first division. After a broken foot he fell from the first half of the following season.

2004 Ijeh joined the league rivals IFK Göteborg, who wanted to upgrade in size to its centenary. However, he could not go on from his successful time and was considered a disappointment.

After one and a half seasons Ijeh was delivered to the Danish first division club FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2005. However, it did also not recommended for the starting eleven and moved to the Norwegian Viking FK Stavanger for three million Danish kroner. There, he scored eleven goals in 15 games the club almost single-handedly out of the relegation zone. With four goals Ijehs 5-0 victory over SK Brann last season game of the last non- relegation zone could be climbed on goal difference. After the expiry of his contract at FC Syrianska he moved in January 2012 to GAIS Gothenburg.

Internationally

Ijeh has so far denied five caps for Nigeria.
