Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University

The Rajabhat University Piibulsongkram ( Thai: มหาวิทยาลัย ราชภัฏ พิบูล สงคราม, RTGS: Mahawitthayalai Ratchaphat Phibunsongkhram ) is a public university in the Rajabhat system in Phitsanulok, Northern Thailand.

History

The Rajabhat University Pibulsongkram was formed in 1926 as a teacher training institution in accordance with the royal Thai Basic Education Act of 1921. On January 7, 1926, King Rama VII took along with Queen Ramphaiphanni part in the opening ceremony and gave the institution the name Phitsanuwittayayon. The training for public school teachers took the time two years. 1933 a separate institution for female teachers was opened, which was founded in 1956 merged with that of the male teachers to Pibulsongkram - Teachers College, whose name is reminiscent of the former Prime Minister Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram.

Since 1976, the facility offers a bachelor 's degree in education. 1981 moved to the College on the campus in Thung Thaleekaeo. The Ausbbildungsgesetz 1984 allowed the teachers colleges to offer other subjects as pedagogy. On 14 February 1992, King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX. ) Gave the university the new name Rajabhat Institute Pibulsongkram. As part of the Rajabhat University Act, which the king put on 14 June 2004 in force, all Rajabhat Institutes have been upgraded to universities, as well as the Rajabhat Institute Pibulsongkram.
