Pim Ligthart

Pim Ligthart (* June 16, 1988 in Hoorn ) is a Dutch track and road racing cyclist.

Pim Ligthart won the 2006 at the Junior Track Cycling World Championships in Ghent the silver medal in Madison. Later he became Dutch champion in the points race and the 50 kilometers. The following year he won the silver medal in the points race ( U23 ) and the Madison at the European Championships. He also won the UIV Cup in Munich and defended his national title in the points race. In the U23 class, he was also Dutch champion in the Omnium. At the Track Cycling World Cup 2007/2008 he won the points race in Copenhagen and was fifth overall.

On the road Pim Ligthart won a stage of the 2006 Kroz Istru and was second in the overall standings. Since 2007, he runs for the Dutch team KrolStonE Continental. In his first year there he won the one-day races Hel van Voerendaal.
