The Piz Salteras is a mountain east of Tinizong - Rona and west of Preda in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with an altitude of 3'111 m above sea level. M. The top floor consists of a weakly structured slate pyramid with easy walk- Advised, so it is popular as Skigeberg. Location

The Piz Salteras belongs to the lead Marscha group, a subgroup of the Albula Alps. About the Summit, the municipal boundary between Tinizong - Rona and Berguen / Bravuogn runs. The Piz Salteras is surrounded by the Val d' Err, a side valley of the above stone, and on the east by the Val Tschitta, a side valley of the Albula valley in the west.

Among the neighboring peaks of Piz Val Lunga include ( 3'078 m) and the Piz Ela ( 3'339 m ) in the north and the Piz da l' Antgierna because Salteras ( 2'982 m), Piz da Peder Bucs (3 ' 002 m) and Piz lead Marscha ( 3,128 m) in the south.

Valley is a Tinizong and Preda. Common starting points are the Alp d' Err and Naz.

Wind station

On the summit of Piz Salteras is a 160 wind stations of the inter-cantonal Measurement and Information System ( IMIS). The system is operated jointly by the Confederation, cantons, municipalities, the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF as well as other interest groups. The corresponding snow station is located near the Furschela because Tschitta on 2'725 meters above sea level. M. The station measures wind every half hour wind speed (average and peak), wind direction, air temperature and relative humidity. The avalanche warning service and security officers throughout Switzerland are supplied with current information from remote and / or inaccessible areas. The Alpstrasse of Tinizong in the Val d' Err is closed to the general motor vehicle traffic. However, a hiking bus on Tuesdays and Fridays from Savognin to Penza.
