Přeštěnice

Přeštěnice ( German Preschtienitz, formerly Přeschtenitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers northeast of Milevsko in South Bohemia and belongs to Okres Pisek.

Geography

Přeštěnice located in the hill country belonging to the Central Bohemian Milevská pahorkatina. The village is situated between the valleys of the streams Dobřemilický creek and Milevsky creek on a ridge that descends into the valley of Smutná to the southeast. To the north rises the Záhoří (631 m), northeast of the Kostelík ( 635 m), in the south of the Vitanka ( 587 m), southwest of the Stráže (610 m).

Neighboring towns are Výška, Rohozov, Zrůbek and Střítež in the north, Dobřemilice, Klokočov and Číčovice in the northeast, Rybárna, Vlksice and Dolejší Mlýn in the east, Radihošť, Jezviny and Duškanka the southeast, Mlčkov and Bečov in the south, Držkrajov and Týnice the southwest, Osletín in the west and Zbislav, Jednota and Blehov in the northwest.

History
