Province of Livorno

The Livorno ( Italien. Provincia di Livorno) Province is a province of the Italian region of Tuscany and has 20 municipalities with 335 631 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). The capital is Livorno. The province is bordered on the north and east by the province of Pisa, in the south of the province of Grosseto and on the west by the Tyrrhenian Sea. The coast of Piombino is often called Etruscan Coast or Etruscan Riviera.

Geography

For the province includes the islands of Gorgona, Capraia, Elba, Montecristo and Pianosa of the Tuscan Archipelago. The only major river is the Cecina.
