Province of Piacenza

The Piacenza (Italian Provincia di Piacenza) province is a province of the Emilia -Romagna region. Capital is Piacenza.

It has 286 336 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in 48 municipalities covering an area of ​​2589 km ². Immigrants represent 4.2% of the total population.

The province is bordered on the north and west of Lombardy, to the east by the province of Parma, in the south of Liguria and on the southwest by the Piedmont.

By 1927, the province in the districts of Piacenza and Fiorenzuola was divided.
