Pugey

Pugey is a commune in the French department Doubs in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Pugey is located at 408 m, about 7 km southwest of the city of Besançon (air line). The village is located in the western Jura, in a wide, opening to the south valley in the Jura - edge chain, which connects south to the valley of the Doubs.

The area of ​​7:32 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the western French Jura. The northern part of the area occupied by the basin of Pugey. History

In the Middle Ages Pugey belonged to the rule Arguel. Together with the Franche -Comté reached the village with the Peace of Nijmegen in 1678 to France.

Attractions

The village church of Pugey was built in the 18th century.
