Rabel

Rabel (Danish: Rabol ) is a municipality in the loop Tight Rabelsund near Kappeln in Schleswig -Flensburg district in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Rabel is located about four kilometers north of Kappeln on the main road 199 to Niebüll. She's in the 50 's, the railroad replaced the Flensburg Flensburg- Kappeln circular path that had Rabel in a train station. Today instead runs on the B199 bus line Flensburg- Kappeln Autokraft. The nearest railway station is still in operation Suederbrarup on the railway Kiel -Flensburg, about 15 kilometers west of Rabel.

The small island Schlei Flintholm is part of the municipality Rabel.

History

Rabel was first mentioned in 1519, but it has then been two villages next to each other located: Old - Rabel and New Rabel.

Good Buck Hagen

Good Buck Hagen belonged to the fishermen goods district. The name of the estate probably means umfriedetes piece pasture for sheep.

The property was built in 1660 and has been preserved, together with a large part of the trench around the plant. In 1965, the interior of the mansion was restored.
