Rabot Island

The Rabot Island is an uninhabited island in the Biscoe Islands are located 1.6 kilometers south of Renaud Island. It is 8 km long and 3.2 km wide and was discovered in 1832 by English whalers John Biscoe first time. In 1908 she was mapped by the head of the fifth French Antarctic Expedition, Jean -Baptiste Charcot, who named it after the French geographer Charles Rabot ( 1856-1944 ).
