Ranomi Kromowidjojo

Ranomi Kromowidjojo ( born August 20, 1990 in Sauwerd ) is a Dutch freestyle swimmer.

Career

Ranomi Kromowidjojo was born on August 20, 1990 in Sauwerd. Both her parents are from the former Dutch colony of Surinam, her grandparents from Indonesia. Kromowidjojo moved in 2006 for the first time in the international field of view, as they are 100 - m freestyle relay Vice - European Champion was as part of the strong Dutch 4 × at the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2006. In the following years, she reached the Short Course European Champion title in 2007, the European title in 2008 and the Short Course World Champion title in 2008 as part of a Dutch freestyle relay. Moreover, it has already set up with their Dutch colleagues some swimming world and European records. She won at the World Swimming Championships 2011 in China one gold, one silver ( 50m freestyle ) and one bronze ( 100m freestyle ). To crown her career she won at the Olympic Games 2012 in London gold 50 and 100 meter freestyle. In October 2012, she was voted European Swimmer of the Year.
