Rasmus Løland

Rasmus Løland ( born May 24, 1861 in Løland, † October 12, 1907 in Hvalstaddalen ) was a Norwegian writer, who was considered one of the most outstanding children's writers of his time.

Life

Løland was born on 24 May 1861 in Løland. He was plagued from childhood diseases and later became neurotic. He died on 12 October 1907 in Hvalstaddalen.

Style and Genre

Løland often represented persons who according expelled her life as not the social norm or had periods excluded. In this regard he described as particularly weak characters as gifted. Scripture Generic compassion was one of the strengths of his melancholy depictions.

In relation to his children's books, it was mainly the child's psyche, who knew trace masterly writer.
